The Brown Eye That Started It All
The Outer Great Barrier Reef off Port Douglas, Queensland, AUSTRALIA, 1992
In 1992, a mate of mine Emil Van Booey Monster and I did a mega cool road trip up to Port Douglas in Far North Queensland in Australia.
We had totally saved our dollars to do a trip with Quicksilver cruises to the Outer Reef which is the edge of the continental shelf around Australia.
Unfortunately, the boat was filled with lamearse Japanese tourists who got much better treatment than us, so …holy cow…we decided that they deserved to see the rare Australian pale spotted sphincter fish…
Anyhows… so there was this floating observation platform on the reef where all the Japanese went under the water to watch the fish being fed.
In front of all the Japanese, Emil just snorkelled down and dropped his pants and floated his arse right up to the glass…
It was a proud moment and it was the one ring to bind them all…
